Double Gold!

Highest ÖGNB and klimaaktiv scores for the Technology Center Seestadt

Supported by the expertise of ATP sustain, the research company for sustainable building, tz2 has already been granted ÖGNB Gold Status for the excellence and sustainability of its design. The sustainable quality of the completed building not just matched but even surpassed this. With 935 out of a possible 1,000 points, the ÖGNB once again decorated the tz2 with gold. And this was followed by another gold award: Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler presented the ATP sustain Managing Director Michael Haugeneder and ATP Lead Project Manager Hannes Achammer with the klimaaktiv Gold Certificate. This means that tz2 is one of Austria’s 31 climate-friendliest buildings.

“Technology Center Seestadt is a true flagship project,” says Michael Haugeneder. “In addition to meeting the highest requirements in terms of energy efficiency, sustainable design, and execution, the interior spaces of the building also fulfill key requirements. Our objective was to create a working environment for future users that embodies ecological, economic, and socio-cultural sustainability. These awards show that we have met these objectives.”

The research company for sustainable building was able to take pride in another award on the same evening. The completed Khekgasse residential development was awarded klimaaktiv Bronze. ATP sustain carried out a feasibility study during the design phase and accompanied the construction.
